If you want to be X...

...then you have to do things that X people do. If you want to be a star athlete, then you have to do what star athletes do. Same thing with being fit and healthy, or doing a particular job, or having good finances.

I've struggled with what I wanted electricDust to be - a domain I've had for many many years. For just as many years, I feel like I've had just as many ideas: game, blog, app, merch, etc. I've settled on blog.

But since making that decision in Feb 2025 (as you can from the first automated post), I couldn't figure out the content. Programming, politics, policy, technology? I realize while a blog could have many different topics, starting out with one will likely yield the most success.

After some outside tangential influence to get started and internal introspection, I've landed on game development. I consider myself a decent application developer having creating many applications over my 25+ year career in lead roles. But since my TI99/4a, I've always been interested in creating games.

The plan is to learn, and journal the journey on game development. Because if I want to be a game developer, I must do what game developers do. Other than my experience as a programmer and some unyielding forays in game development, I am starting from the ground up. I hope you join in the adventure.
